With the different options available today for the substance abuse treatment in Arkansas it is easy to be muffled with them. The following are some important aspects that one can take into account before subscribing to a rehab center in Arkansas.

1. Getting acquainted with the program in the state

Getting yourself well informed about the program is very important. The internet is the best option to start. There are a lot of federal websites such as the National Clearinghouse, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the National Institute of Drug Abuse which give you all the information you need.

There are a lot of programs that are available at the rehab centre like the inpatient detoxification process, the outpatient detoxification process; the residential aftercare program, the outpatient aftercare program. There are also the different forms of treatment programs like the day treatment program or the dual diagnosis treatment program, etc. Hence you need to be able to make the right choice of the rehab centre for your loved ones.

2. Getting acquainted with the program the treatment centre is running

To know the process of the treatment that you have selected is also important. You will generally find the relevant information on the website of the treatment centre. There is a section of FAQs on the website related to the program, which you must also read. These are the concerns the others like you might have had about the program to which the rehab centre has given answers. In addition, you can also talk to the customer service department of the rehab centre. They should be able to give you detailed information about the process.

An important note here is that there could be two rehabilitation treatment centers in Arkansas with a treatment program of the same name, but with an entire different program implementation. One should avoid falling in this trap. Read about the program carefully before deciding on one.

3. Checking whether the program is qualified or not.

A qualified treatment program is very important as it is a program which is approved by the state authorities and that the program meets all the criteria that are asked for by the state health authorities Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the National Institute of Drug Abuse and the National Clearinghouse. Subscribing to an unqualified program is as good as giving no addiction treatment to your loved one.

Since the program is approved by the state health authorities, it easy to entrust your loved ones. Also a qualified program enjoys certain benefits from the state like a low cost fee structure of the program compared to the other unqualified ones. Also it is easier to get insurance coverage when the program is a qualified one.

4. Looking at the correct license for the program:

This is an important criterion to remember when you are looking for a specified mode of treatment. For example for a methamphetamine drug treatment, it is necessary to ensure that the rehab centre has a specialized license for treating this type of drug. A generalized license of all drug treatments will not help. This license is given when the state authorities are convinces that a particular rehab center can take up such specialized drug treatment cases. It is also necessary to check if the treatment providers are licensed or not. These treatment providers must have a license by a federal body such as the American Society of Addiction Medicine. This license should put your mind at ease that the rehab centre you are subscribing to has the required specialization for a particular kind of treatment.

Generally these licenses are put up on the websites. You must read them carefully. Alternatively, you can always demand to be shown the same at the rehab centers in Arkansas. The customer service officials should be able to provide you with the same.

5. Checking out the facilities provided by the chosen rehab center in Arkansas

Some special substance drug treatments need some special equipment for treatment. The chosen rehab centers should be able to provide them. If you are opting for a residential treatment, it is also necessary to check if the round the clock professionals and the nurses are educated and sensitized to the program. You should also check for the residential type of treatment, how they manage to involve the patient in the various activities throughout the day. Are they consistent enough with the involvement with the patient? Do they have recreation options like different sports or hobbies for the patient to enjoy? Check out also how good they are at maintaining hygiene.

Arkansas: History And A Unique Experience In One

When it comes to natural preserves no state is more focused than Arkansas with fifty-one state parks and numerous outdoor activities for travelers to choose from. Arkansas features a wide variety of lowlands and highlands along with two major mountain ranges, the Ozarks and the Quachitas. There are several good museums and cultural experiences in Little Rock, the capital of Arkansas.

The central point of Little Rock is the Central High Museum and Visitors Center which showcases the history of the endeavor to stop racial segregation in public schools. The River Market downtown is an excellent place to go if you want to eat at an excellent restaurant, find entertainment or just walk around and do some shopping. For the family travelers there is the Museum and Discovery and the Children’s Museum. For the outdoor individuals there is Burns Park which is one of the largest city parts in the United States. Another excellent option for families is Gator Park which features go-karts, mini golf and other family activities.

There is a variety of accommodation options in Arkansas from large luxury resorts to lodges to motels to small rustic inns. You can get a complete listing of all available accommodations at http://www.arkansas.com. However, if you are looking for a good historic hotel consider the 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa in Eureka Springs or the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock.

If culture is your thing then you should visit the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock which has the largest cultural institution in the state and has exhibits located in seven different galleries. Also included is the Arkansas Museum of Art and the Arkansas Children’s Theater.

For the movie buffs there is the Old Grist Mill in Little Rock. It is a full authentic reproduction of a grist mill powered by water. The actual building was built in 1933 but is designed to look like it was built in the eighteen hundreds. It is currently the only building still standing that was used in the film Gone With the Wind.

For a truly unique experience you should visit the Crater of Diamonds State Park. Not only is this a public diamond mine but the company also lets visitors prospect for their own diamonds. Crescent Hotel Morgue Ghosts Eureka Springs Arkansas 22222

In October of 2008, a group of ladies opted to sleep in “the morgue” of The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa, located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The reason this Historic Hotel of America has a “morgue” is because in the late 1930s a charlatan named Norman Baker bought the hotel and ran it for several years as a cancer curing hospital. His autopsy table, his walk-in cooler where he kept spare body parts, and the locker where Syfy Network’s “Ghost Hunters” caught a full-bodied apparition on thermography are still there and this area is considered “the most active” in a resort hotel oftentimes called “America’s most haunted hotel.” See for yourself what the girls never saw… but the hidden camera captured.
